Technical collaboration with Orano La Hague’s Laboratory #148

Building #148 at Orano La Hague houses a strategic laboratory responsible for environmental surveillance and the dosimetric monitoring of site operators. Thanks to its analytical equipment and expertise, it shares strong operational links with ATRON Metrology’s LEMA, dedicated to radiological sample analysis, and with FELIX, used for the calibration and verification of measuring instruments.

The relationship between ATRON Metrology and Laboratory #148 is built on a foundation of quality and cooperation, particularly through regular intercomparison test campaigns linked to our COFRAC accreditation. This collaboration enhances our mutual technical standards, metrological reliability, and our ability to address radiation protection challenges in the field.

In this spirit of knowledge sharing, Orano teams were recently welcomed at ATRON’s premises for a half-day of technical exchange—an opportunity to strengthen an existing partnership and explore new synergies in measurement, safety, and innovation in the nuclear sector.
