Rad3, the pole that makes control + fast, + reliable and + centralised

Dose rate measurements around the accelerators at CERN are carried out periodically. They consist of a set of three values, recorded along the entire length of the equipment, representing approximately 1,500 to 5,000 measurement points per campaign, depending on the accelerator!

Rad3 has been developed to facilitate this task, which is carried out by our teams at CERAP Switzerland.

Rad3 incorporates three cleverly positioned radiometers to simultaneously take the triplets of measurements at the appropriate distances, as measured by a sensor. A built-in touch screen allows the operator to interact with the system, which is also battery-powered, making it self-contained.

Finally, data traceability ensures the completeness of the checks and automates the generation of reports.
